Evita Ochel, Amazing Insights are even simple Common Sense

I don't always "sync" so well with guests as I did with Evita.

We all hear self-acceptance and self-love and never act upon it, or we seem incapable to believe that it could be so simple.  Hey folks, that's all there is to moving out of suffering!  There is something about Evita's brightness and straightforward delivery of these simple messages that may be able to penetrate our cloud of doubts.  I would love to spend many hours talking with Evita.  Her several web sites and blogs are hooked to this link.

Thanks for that interestng interview. It made me have a look at some of the interviews Evita has on her websites.. From what i've seen, i particularly liked the one with Willy Whitefeather, who seems to be the perfect mix of madness and genius.. i guess the 2 aren't that far apart, really ;)

In this interview i liked what was said about being vs doing. I think one should be a natural result of the other.. whatever is called for in being should result in doing. It can't be the other way around, as far as i can see. In other words: you can't become anything other that that which you are already by doing.

And this is one thing i noticed about a lot of new-age thinking. In that line of thinking, people are still trying to improve their life by trying to adjust the circumstances to their wishes. The underlying assumption in that line of thinking still is that life as it is is NOT OK, and things still need to change for the better for life to be acceptable.

Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with improving things in your life, but it seems that something essential is overlooked, and people just end up chasing new goals, even though they are now 'spiritual' or 'holistic' goals. In essence, you're still trying to enhance/improve the dream, instead of waking up from the dream, and find out what's really going on in the first place.

I'm also intrigued with Evita's ideas about becoming more coscious of our thoughts. I think that that's a good idea, but i wonder if we should try to change the things we are thinking, and try to replace our thoughts with something more 'spiritual' or 'enlightened'. In my experience, all you get is more inner conflict.

If you want to change yourself, what is it really you're trying to change? If we take our constellation of ideas, opinions, toughts and whatnot, and call that our 'self', then sure, you can probably change that through hard work and persistence, and maybe even get a 'better' experience out of it. But you're still working on the level of the dream.

So in my opinion, i think it's essential to first find out what you really are, in the deepest essence, to find out what is really here. The problem is that that's not something our mind can grasp. At the same time, you already are it.. so what do we have to do to be it?

That's kindof a funny question: imagine a tree asking you what it has to do to be a tree? The question to ask that tree would be: what's keeping you from seeing ?

Anyway..maybe i'm belaboring the point..lol. I really did enjoy the interview, and hope we get to see some more from Evita :)

Hi Evita and Richard
Very interesting interview. I would like to say that for two people who have no children you seem to be all theory. Having children is an experience in itself and helps you to grow up. First rule of University studies is "Don't talk about things you know nothing about" Having said that I think that you both have something to contribute to our understanding of conciousness. However it must be your own experience that people are interested in. Luv to you both and keep spreading the work you do. Encouraging People to just be in nature and sit with it is a valueable experience. Jan Griffin.
