The Imagined Battlefield
The battle for an ideal, or against injustice,
often stems from denied or cherished pain, a mind full of past.
A motto seems to give something to hold on to,
where earlier the sense of being was confused by the inner world.
Attention turned outward, on something that needs to be changed,
seems to release being of the inner turmoil.
At a certain graceful moment
the sense of being notices utter disapointment and exhaustion.
Insight - in the movement of flight - gets acknowledged.
What was being battled against outside,
turnes out to be the mirror of what was being neglected inside.
Fear of looking deeply into old experiences fueled the fight.
Denial, necessary to serve the ego-mission, breakes open.
Underlying pain is allowed.
Hope for salvation, which has to come after a succesful mission,
vanishes in awareness.
Transformation of the joining in arms into clear awareness,
results in discomfort among the allied forces.
A confused collective uses rejection, scorn and mockery,
to hide fear for loss of an imagined identity.
The sense of being, realizing its true nature, sees through the shadow self,
which was looking for safety in pacts of I owe you and you owe me.
The one Now that is before time is recognized.
Being is home and knows: I am always home...
I am the one Home in which everything happens.
