There is the embodied sense of self and there is the conceptual story of individual self. They are not the same.

The embodied sense of self is impersonal. The story of individual self is the story of "me."

The sense of embodied self arises from the bodymind's sensory ground of being. The story of me arises from thinking mind's interpretation of the sensory data.

When mind quiets, and there is inner stillness, the story of self ("me") disappears, while the sense of self ("impersonal awareness") remains.

As such, the sense of self does not (need to) disappear, only the story of "me" seen through.

This is self-verifiable.

Seeing is freeing.

Very CLEARLY said.

What volumes of pages can not say is expressed aptly in few words.

To the Self Realized, what is said is an EXCELLENT POINTER for SELF-CHECK and VERIFICATION.

It is often said that one's SELF REALIZATION should always be VERIFIED with an ACCOMPLISHED PERSON. I have already REALIZED your sayings on my own and your sayings are DEEPLY INGRAINED in ME for a long time. I got this verified now.

Ramana Maharshi also asked everyone to REALIZE this very simple TRUTH only. At times, Ramana expressed SURPRISE as to how one cannot be SELF REALIZED.

Once Ramana's longtime subordinate, probably his cook, (Ramana never accepted anybody as his Disciple, Garlanding or Falling on his feet), longing to find out what SELF REALIZATION is, on Realizing the Self, came running to him asking Ramana, "Is This That?" Ramana smilingly replied him, 'Yea. That is This." Both of them clearly understood what they really meant. Self Realization is as simple as that.

Ramana also said, 'Self Realization is the Greatest Service you can do for the Whole Humanity.' In a way it can be inferred from Ramana's style that 'Ramana was the First Neo-Advaitist, to break the shackles of Traditional Vedanta, with his simple approach to attain Self Realization.' Ramana was advising simple methodologies like 'Find out Who am I', to attain Self Realization, especially to all common man who were tired of the excessive complexities of the Traditional Vedanta System, which is not within the reach of ordinary man.

What you have written is SO SIMPLE, YET EXTREMELY PROFOUND. This realization is ENOUGH for our WHOLE BIRTHS.

Thank You Tony.

I would say more but risk saying less. Namaste, Gachchy, namaste.
